Story
We are fundraising for this charity which is close to our hearts which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a charity which supplies artificial limbs, wheelchairs and other aids free to amputees and the disabled in Sri Lanka who cannot afford them. This includes children with significant neurological disorders. Many Srilankans in the U.K. hold fundraising events every year to raise funds for this worthy cause. But due to the corona virus pandemic, we have been unable to hold these events.
We plan to do some walking over the next few months to raise funds. We will update our page whenever we do a walk.

Their work is provided through two well equipped centres in Mahawa & Mankulam. They also have a mobile workshop to provide an outreach service to remote areas.
Their annual expenditure in Sri Lanka is approximately 20 million rupees. In the UK, about £20,000 is needed annually to purchase and sea freight consumables and equipment needed for this work. They obtain most of this equipment as donations from many rehabilitation centres in the UK. Their Motto is WASTE NOT-WANT NOT. Accordingly, costs are kept low by optimally recycling materials and employing a very active research and development programme to fabricate their own components using appropriate low cost technology.
Please support us in our efforts dear friends. Thank you for your kindness!
