Story
The Sport Parkinson's Four Nations golf tournament is back! On the 11th October, the Scotland Team will be part of a group of 40 golfers with Parkinson's teeing off on The Belfry's Brabazon course. Four teams will represent the four nations of the UK across the two days of friendly competition and fundraising. Representing Scotland are Captain Andy McAulay and Jarlath Busby (Thornton GC), Alex Carruthers (Lundin GC), Hamish Turnbull (Reigate Heath GC), Paul Ford (Balbirnie Park GC), John Stirk (Gleneagles GC), Alex Stephen (Inverallochy GC), Martin McHollan, Bryn Williams and Chic Stenhouse.
Captain Andy says, "This is a fantastic event which showcases what Parkinson's Disease battlers are capable of whilst at the same time raising funds to find a cure. Golf is proven to be very beneficial for those with PD and it encourages us to remain active and stay strong till a cure comes along. Thank you to everyone who is supporting the Scotland Team."
This year we will be raising funds for Cure Parkinson's. Cure Parkinson's are here for the cure. Cure Parkinson's is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson's. Cure Parkinson's funding and innovation has redefined the field of Parkinson's research, enabling the worlds leading researchers to prioritise the next generation of drugs for clinical trial. Their impact and influence continue to exceed all expectations. Together we will conquer Parkinson's.
Thank you for your generosity. Come on Scotland!!
