Story
Hi, my name is Scarlet Coyne and I am 12 years old and I would like to share my story and raise awareness of CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) - an excruciating and debilitating condition which I was disgnosed with when I was aged 9.
I want to raise awareness of this awful, painful and debilitating condition, which has meant I have had to learn how to touch my own skin again and put socks on; retrained my foot muscles on how to work and have had to re-learn how to walk again (twice). I have just recovered from an awful flare up and I want to remind myself of how far I have come and what I need to do to get through it if it happens again and I want to help others who may be going through the same, to know they are not alone, that it is horrendous and isolating. It felt like I was living in a black hole but that being strong and believing in yourself, even on the hardest days, that there will be some light at the end of the tunnel. To keep fighting through the pain and to keep going however small each exercise is and slowly build it up.
Burning Nights CRPS Support is an independent UK charity dedicated to not only raising awareness for this debilitating & life-changing condition but to also support anyone who’s lives have been affected by it.
I love dancing, acro, singing and art and I am making bracelets, earrings, designing cards and decorating letters and all proceeds are in aid of the Burning Nights CRPS charity. Please see photos of my items in the updates below.
I have just started doing gentle exercise, I am back to some dance classes and l am learning how to run again and I am also hoping to achieve a 2k run and be back to all my dance classes by the end of July 2022.
Any donations, or orders for my items, would be really appreciated.
Thank you 😊 💓
