Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who know me you'll know that signing myself up to do things on a whim is just what I do, so this should be no surprise!
I first signed up for a skydive with a months' notice to raise £500. Luckily I smashed it and raised £2,000 which was matched by Clydesdale Bank, giving £4,000 to Kirkwood Hospice and Help the Hospices.
Secondly I decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, obviously there was a twist which was that I only had 3 months to train and raise £2,500, but with all the support of my friends, family, colleagues and the generous public, I again smashed the target and raised £5,750 which was also matched by Clydesdale Bank, giving £11,500 to the charities.
I've always said to all my friends and family that I would do one last big event so when the opportunity of running the London Marathon next year in aid of Help The Hospice came up I couldn't say no.
Running the marathon is going to be a serious challenge for me because I'm no long distance runner, so 26 miles will certainly be a struggle!! But I can promise you all that I will train my hardest and cross that finish line (walking, crawling or crying!). All I ask is that you please help me reach my £2,000 target with any amount you can spare, no matter how small, again everything I raise for Hospice UK will be matched by Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank.
Big thanks to you all x
