The first marathon of my life for a very good cause

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Three weeks ago, I was the most unfit person on the entire planet. I could never imagine myself of doing something really challenging like running long distances. When I was young my parents tried to convince me to do more than just swimming but I gave it a miss and thought “not necessary for me”. I tried running short distances a couple of times but I could never gather enough motivation for that third or fourth run, or get past monkey mind. However I needed a new challenge, something that I had never done before, as well as something that no one would ever have expected me to do. I was privileged to have a brilliant and successful international placement at a school in Cardiff, which really inspired me to do more. I chose the Cardiff Half Marathon, just because I lived and studied in Cardiff, which is one of the reasons that I am here today. Working with children showed me that many children have an enormous amount the support and care so that they can lead happy lives. After looking at the work done by the “Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund” I realized not all children in South Africa have this level of support and care. The “Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund” purpose it is to give children in South Africa hope, education, love and happiness. The charity takes care of the well being of the children, especially children who have lost their parents through HIV/AIDS, as well as children with disabilities So I would like you to help me to help you give those South African children the level of support and care that they need for more education, a better life and to ensure that they have the actual chance to live a life full of happiness and with less worries. It is for this reason that I am going to run the Half Marathon in Cardiff on the 17th of October. Your donation will make a difference.
