Story
It is Lucas 10th birthday on 21st April so like many others he will be celebrating at home
Luca needed a haircut so he decided to let his dad loose on his hair that was so in need of a trim . Luca then chose to have a head shave and have a Mohican to help raise funds for ‘Footprints ‘ - they have sadly had to close their doors due to Covid 19 which means the children are unable to attend the valuable sessions each week - the charity also have no ways of creating an income stream due to fundraising events cancelled .The charity need to continue to raise £220,000 per year to continue their service ....THEY SIMPLY CANNOT CLOSE ..
Footprints Conductive Education Centre is a small charity based in Nottingham - they provide Conductive Education and other services to help children from 6 months - 12 years of age with mobility and communication difficulties develop the skills they need to thrive and achieve their potential .
Many of you will know Luca was delayed in his development - this was a very anxious time for us all . Luca and I attended Footprints each Wednesday where he gained the skills to help with his mobility and communication - it was hard at the time for Luca as the classes really challenged him .
Fast forward 8 months from starting and Luca took his first independent steps whilst he was in a session - this was a momentous occasion as he was nearly 3 - we cried with joy !!!
Thanks for reading and do help you can help support this small local Sneinton based charity x
