I first promised to do the Great North Run when I arrived in Newcastle in 1991. 30 years on I’m finally doing it. Motivated by a local charity that provides transport for anyone in the area going through the hellish journey of cancer treatment. Being in a rural area many have to travel 120 round trip to hospital for  this treatment. 

I’ve seen the help this charity gives and can’t wait to wear my yellow vest to raise funds for them. 

I’ll wave as I go over the bridge !
