Story
My beautiful sister Emma was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April 2018 and after nearly four years of treatment and two major operations she lost her battle on 23 March 2022. She was cruelly taken from her family and friends way too early at the age of 48.
Emma lit up every room with her smile, her laugh and her kind heart. She made everyone feel special. She was loved by everyone. We all miss her so much.
Emma went into a hospice in Exeter for a few weeks before returning to our parents’ home. The Hospiscare staff were amazing. Emma was well looked after by the doctors and nurses, they were so understanding, caring and compassionate to Emma and the whole family.
Me, Tim, Josh and Ruby are doing a charity tandem skydive at Dunkeswell on 23 June 2023 to raise money in Emma’s memory. We’re paying for the skydives ourselves and would like to raise money for Hospiscare by as a thank you.
Jumping from a plane at 15,000 feet will be terrifying and exhilarating, but it will give us the chance to be in the sky, closer to Emma, for her 50th birthday and raise money for a very worthy charity at the same time.
All money raised will go directly to Hospiscare. They care for around 2,500 people in the Exeter, East & Mid Devon area every year. You can find out more information about Hospiscare here https://www.hospiscare.co.uk/about-us/
If you would like to make a donation in Emma’s memory you can do so via the JustGiving page.
