After many years of being a Guide Leader (and before that a Brownie Leader, Young Leader, Ranger, Guide, Brownie ...)  I have decided to have a break. To say a big 'thank you' to the Girl Guides Association, and Guessens Guides in particular, for all the opportunities they've offered me, I'm raising money for a new Guide Hut by taking part in three challenges over 6 months.

In July I completed the 18 mile Fairlands Valley Challenge (an offroad self-navigated race), in October I took part in the Camberley Caper (an adventure race involving running, mountain biking, kayaking and an obstacle course). On December 22nd I will be running the Portsmouth Coastal Marathon as my final challenge.  All of these events involve making the most of the great outdoors, and I have Guiding to thank for my love of getting muddy, getting lost and having a great adventure.
