Story
Lottie was rushed to BCH by the critical care team on 4th May after suffering with a massive sinus infection which spread to her brain causing an empyema and a cluster of abscesses inside the brain. She had to have life saving brain surgery within hours consisting of a craniotomy and drainage of the sinuses.
Lottie spent a further 6 weeks at BCH having daily IV antibiotics, but 3 weeks after surgery Mr Lo discussed the possiblity of Lottie needing further brain surgery after it was discovered in her weekly MRI that one of the abscesses had filled up again. Upon hearing this news Lottie was understandably very distressed so in a bid to take her mind off it we decided to set up the Just Giving page with a goal of £1000 to focus on something positive whilst at the same time doing what Lottie loves the most-TikTok dances!!
To our amazement her goal was smashed within hours and it didn't stop there!! Thankfully the MRI the following week showed improvment and she did not require more surgery.
Lottie was discharged from BCH on 16th June and continued her treatment as an outpatient at the Macgregor Ward,Warwick Hospital until 8th July when she attended BCH for what would be her last MRI and the wonderful Mr Lo announced that her treatment was complete!
Lottie still requires a small operation to remove her central line in the coming weeks. We could not be prouder of our little girl and will be eternally grateful to every person that helped Lottie in her road to recovery!
We are not ready to give up with the fund raising just yet!
