There are different stages to a young person's life, and as a Jewish girl, seminary is an important stage in our life. It helps us to grow and discover ourselves and our Jewish identity. I did not have the privilege of having any formal Jewish education until joining Hasmonean in year 7. I have grown a keen interest in school in my Jewish curriculum and would love to enhance this further before going to university to hopefully study medicine.
Seminary also allows the opportunity to develop a love of the land of Israel which until now I have only been able to do through the eyes of others. Going to seminary will be my first opportunity to even travel to Israel, hopefully giving me an opportunity to create my own experiences and perspective of the land. This is a part of my Jewish learning and identity that I have not yet had the opportunity to develop and one that I so much desire. I hope to go this year as a gap year to Midreshet Tehilla to gain and grow spiritually. I believe this will be a unique and life-changing experience for me. I have had a challenging life, and it hasn't always been the easiest. I don't live with my parents, and they do not financially support me.
Noa Girls has supported me through the last few years, and they are collecting money for me and giving it to the seminary on my behalf.
Please help me raise the money for seminary so that I can have this once in a lifetime experience. Without your support it will be very difficult for me to achieve my goal. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and for your support.
Love, Sarah
