Fundraising for Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My wonderful husband Simon Stew passed away on 13th July 2021 due to complications after a long awaited heart transplant.
He had a lengthy stay as an inpatient waiting for a heart. One of the biggest things that made a difference in his day-to-day life there and improved his stay was having a fridge in his room. We were in the lucky position that we had iPads/phones, head phones, speakers etc to take with him. We know that not everyone does and having a member of the family unwell and in hospital for a long period can cause financial strain.
We would like to provide a fund for use on the ward for transplant patients to provide them with fridges, iPads/tablets, TVs, fans etc for those without them. Things to enhance their day-to-day life during their stay and help them stay connected, entertained, well fed and comfortable.
Thank you,
Sarah/Blunders and familyxxx
