In memory of Sandra MacLennan  (1st May 2020):

Thank you to all of Sandra's friends and family who have been in touch.  Our hearts are broken at the loss of Sandra who was beloved by all who knew her.   

The comfort of hugs and handshakes elude us all these days and is even more poignant for Sandra's family at this time.  We are so grateful for all your words of kindness, sympathy and support. 

If times were normal we would be surrounded by people who knew her, who could join us to say goodbye.  We cannot gather together to celebrate her life in the usual way.   Many of you have asked if there is any way you could donate to a charity close to Sandra's heart in honour of her memory.  The Highland Hospice has always been a charity Sandra has supported.  As many of you will know, in these last few weeks Sandra experienced the caring and dedication of the staff at the Highland Hospice herself.

Uisdean, Iain, Christine, Menzies and Patsy would like to sincerely thank all of our relatives, friends and neighbours for the expressions of sympathy, condolences and offers of support. We would also like to thank all who generously donated to the Remembering Sandra MacLennan Just Giving page in aid of The Highland Hospice. During Sandra’s last weeks, the Hospice staff provided excellent care, love and comfort to Sandra.  We cannot thank them enough. It is with great sadness that we could only have a small family funeral.  Thank you to Lynne Clark for writing a touching and thoughtful eulogy and for readings made personal by funeral officiant Lindsey Ross and Iain. Thank you to Angela Hunter for the beautiful and appropriate flowers. Finally, thank you to George Chisholm and his staff for their caring service, respect and funeral arrangements. When circumstances allow, we will have a celebration of Sandra’s life and hope everyone will be able join us.
