My dad passed away in 2012, of bowel cancer, my Nana passed away in 1989 of the same disease.  Following genetic testing it was discovered that this awful disease  runs in the family.  The result being that everyone on my dads side of the family should be tested every couple of years.  The tests are not fun, but they are potentially life saving, as it's inevetible that other people in the family will develop this disease.  With this being the fourth most common cancer in the UK, every penny raised will help to eventually find a cure so my daughter, her children and her children's children don't have to go through the suffering my dad did.
