Al-Ayn Ramadhan Campaign, 27 April 2021
This Ramadhan, Al-Ayn will focus its efforts in helping rebuild the lives of orphaned children and youth across Iraq by providing access to mental health services as well as vocational training opportunities through the Luminous Stars Centres.

Story

Last year with your generosity we managed to give 260 families sadaqa jariya in the names of their fathers.

An orphaned child, like any other child, aspires to do good on behalf of their deceased loved ones, particularly their late father, and understandably so. They wait on the benevolence of those near and far to them, because they can’t give. Not yet anyway. They long for the day they can pay Sadaqa Jariya on behalf of their own father, to brighten his abode in the grave and to send him love, gratitude and happiness from his orphaned child who has managed to stand on their own two feet.

We can bypass the years, and make this dream a reality for the orphans today.

Not only that, but we can add twice the happiness to their innocent
hearts by donating towards building a Luminous Stars Centre in Iraq that builds an orphaned child’s esteem inside out, as well as counting this donation as a Sadaqa Jariya on behalf of the orphans, as a gift to their deceased parent/s.

The donations received will be counted in shares (£20 per share) and every share will be in the name of a father of an orphan/s. The more shares we raise, the more orphaned children can send Sadaqa Jariya to their late heroes.

Help to make the orphaned children’s futures brighter by donating towards the building of Luminous Stars Centres that will provide them with vocational training and mental health resources. The vocational training will mean that they will be taught a skilled profession and be mentored until they enter the workforce, for a better chance in life, giving them and their guardians peace of mind.

Here are a few words from Al-Ayn:

Due to decades of war, conflict and instability, 1 in 5 people in Iraq live in poverty, with orphaned children often being impacted the most. The global pandemic has escalated the mental trauma the children are already facing, coupled with their dire financial circumstances. The lack of access to basic services could have a lasting detrimental impact on their lives. These children's future is at stake. This month of Ramadhan, Al-Ayn will focus its efforts in helping rebuild the lives of orphaned children and youth across Iraq by providing access to mental health services as well as vocational training opportunities through the Luminous Stars Centres.Inspired by the divine promise, your acts of generosity this month are like a seed (Quran 2:261) that grows and multiplies.
