Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
After a long battle with cancer Samantha Black - aged 45, passed away on the 4th of December. Sam was a loving wife, mother and friend and has left so many loved ones behind who adored her.
As a family we would like to be able to raise awareness of organisations close to our heart, such as Cancer Research UK.
We would like to ask for donations in her memory instead of flowers, as we feel this would be great way for her to be remembered whilst raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
If you feel you could make a contribution – however small – we will be immensely grateful.
Information about the celebration of Sam's life:
We are having a celebration of life for Sam on the 21st Dec at 10:00 at The Grange in Radcliffe-on-Trent. The service starts at exactly 10:30, so please be early. Instead of flowers, we would love for you to make a donation to our justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/SamanthaJBlack
We, as a family intend to bring one, single flower to lay with Sam because we think it would look beautiful, which you are also welcome to do.
There will be refreshments after the service but due to limited space, family members are then going to the crematorium, at Wilford. We will be returning for the wake at The Manvers Arms in Radcliffe from 12:30 onwards.
Could you please confirm by return if you are able to come along.
Dress code is party clothes - strictly no funeral attire.
It has been so uplifting seeing all of the messages, stories and photos of Sam on Facebook, so throughout the whole day we will have lots of memory books for everyone to write in and stick any photos inside that you may have of Sam.
We will have lots of pens and glue with us. If you have photos that you would like us to make a copy of and then return, just let us know.
If you think of anyone else who might like to join us on this day, they are very welcome to come to the celebration in the morning, and the wake after.
Love,
Andrew, Oliver, Molly, Max and Oscar xx
