Story
Hello Lovely people!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am currently in training for a 450km bike ride in October, around the Beijing area of China, to raise funds for the charity Women for Women. Yes that’s right me on a bike!!!! The Charity is chaired by Professor Lord Winston and it specialises in research to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions causing brain injury, miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility and cancer that affect women and their babies. I have two lovely children but whilst pregnant with my second I had that horrible moment whilst going for (as I though) a routine scan, when the nurse conducting the scan, said she just needed to talk with the consultant. I was told that I would most likely miscarry. After many agonising months I eventually gave birth to my beautiful daughter by caesarean. My story has a happy ending but the experience of nearly miscarrying made me empathise with others who have lost their babies. The thought of life without my daughter spurs me on through every mile of my training and the challenge ahead in China. My fundraising consists of charity Family Photo Shoot (25th April), Kids Disco (29th May), 100’s Club and a Tea party so feel free to join me in any of those, but I am also joining together with some friends who are cycling China and we are holding a Quiz Night, Live Band Night and a Pub Crawl. So please support us in those as well, whist having some fun!!! I have set up a Blog to keep everyone updated on my progress. http://samanthafarrow.blogspot.com/ With Many Many Thanks Sam x
