Our daughter has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (Tricuspid Atresia), that has required 2 open heart surgeries in Leicester Royal Hospital (East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre) so far. She will need more operations in the future to allow her to grow in to adulthood. 

Because of Heart Link, we were offered accommodation for 2 of our stays with refreshments and many many many cups of tea. They provide everything for parents from cups and plates to microwaves, books and camp beds. They also provide the unit with life saving medical equipment, most of which our daughter has used during her admissions, including ECMO (a type of heart/lung bypass machine - it saved her life). 

We want to try and help them raise money to continue to support parents as they supported us, but also to provide more accommodation for more parents so that they can stay as close as possible to their sick child, as currently there are only 4 on-site rooms. During one of Isabella’s admissions, and when she was at her most sickest we had to stay off site, and walk through dark streets to get to the hospital when we were called in. At a time when we wanted to be close to her, it felt like a million miles away. 

We are holding a charity fundraising night on 28th April and have created this page for people who can’t attend the night but would still like to help our cause.
