Story
There are many excuses in my life to not find time to exercise
- Too busy with the children
- Too busy at work
- Too tierd
- leg hurts, back hurts......
- The sun is out and theres a bottle of Rose in the fridge.....
So I decided especially now I'm not walking too and from the station every day its time for a new focus but I need help to stay motivated!!!
- 30 Mins of exercise every day for the 30 days of September
- Pilates class (40 mins) can count a max of twice a week
- I will run at least 30 miles
This is where you all come in as I would like to use this as an opportunity to talk about and raise money for HENRY (and help me stay motivated). Coronavirus is a crisis for vulnerable children.
HENRY are protecting the UKs most vulnerable children during the COVID-19 crisis. Across the UK, children are facing lockdown in cramped, poor quality housing, with shortages of basic supplies, cared for by parents under immense pressure.
In the words of a mum of two young children who was on a HENRY programme before the current crisis:
"This is hard beyond belief. I am petrified it will break us as a family. Trying to keep the kids fed without school dinners is a constant worry. Keeping them busy in a small flat with no garden and trying not to lose my own mind at the same time is just so so hard."
We are deeply concerned about the impact of the coronavirus crisis on young children, who are totally dependent on adults for their care. For some children, home won't be a safe haven unless their parents have the right support.
Please help HENRY to help families through this difficult time.
