We are a domestic abuse service to support victims and raise awareness

Story

Since lockdown, reports of domestic abuse have increased exponentially, including an increase in deaths.

"On average, two women a week die at the hands of their current or former partner but in the last three weeks, this has more than doubled with a count of 16 domestic abuse killings (Victims Commissioner). The UK’s largest domestic abuse charity, Refuge, has reported a 700% increase in calls to its helpline in a single day!

(April 2020)"

For my birthday I would like to raise £250, to go to the work of The Crossing Point, a local charity, at which my friend works so tirelessly.

They offer this most vital and confidential service for victims of domestic abuse.

There is great need now and also post-lockdown.

Please check out their website for more information, and please please consider donating, to support them and acknowledge my birthday in this practical way.

I'll also be giving £100 - £100 that I probably would've spent on beer and coffee in the pubs and coffee shops over the last several week.

If you have any further questions, just ask.

Thank you xx
