We connect, change and support minds to live with and recover from mental health

Story

During this last year everyone has been affected in some way by the pandemic. We are all aware that the mental health of a large majority of the country has also been affected. At Edens we sadly lost two members of our team this year. Pete Edmunds in March and Jon Burt in mid July.

Pete had worked for us on and off over the past 6 years, Pete was a great gardener and those of you who have had our services over the years I am sure would have met Pete, he always went above and beyond to do a great job, he had struggled in recent years with his mental health and sadly took his own life.

Jon Burt had worked for Edens since 2011, again he was an amazing, much loved Gardener who had worked his way up to Round Supervisor. Jon was a great supporter of Dorset Mind, he had intended on joining us on this fundraising cycle in September as he had previously used and benefitted from counselling services in the past and wanted to help raise money for Dorset Mind in memory of Pete.

We will now be raising the money in memory of Pete and Jon.

September 18th and 19th will see a group of Edens guys, including Kevin and Paul, they will be joined by Lewis, Pete McCourt, Alex Tomas, Alex Walker, Aaron P, Tony, Chris, Eddie, George and Tristan cycling from West Parley to Big Ben...yes in London!! They will also be joined by Daniel, Peter Edmund's brother.

October 10th we will be supporting Dan Irish, Senior Round Supervisor, as he runs the Bournemouth Half Marathon!

Any donation you are able to give however big or small be helping someone locally who needs support.
