Story
Hi!
Thank you so much for visiting my page- I am very, very grateful to all of you who are willing to support me.
As most of you know it has been a long graft of perseverance and determination but this year I received the news that I had so long been waiting for- I have been offered a place at RADA, one of the best drama schools in the world!
Competition was fierce this year: over 3500 people applied- 28 got in-meaning less than 1% of applicants are ultimately offered a place. It's wonderful to have secured that spot but now the hard work will really begin:
"Contact time at RADA is high and in excess of 35 hours per week, which does not take in to account the amount of work to be undertaken in the evenings in preparation for the following day. Therefore, unlike other students on most other degree courses, it is not feasible for you to undertake regular part time work during term time without detriment either to the training or to your health"
Having found myself eligible for loans and grants and whilst working and fundraising over the summer, I am appealing for the exact final sum of money that would take me up to the minimum amount RADA predict I'll need to live whilst studying this year.
Any donation, large or tiny really would make a massive difference:
£5 will cover my photocopying costs for a term
£10 will buy me a costume
£20 will pay for equipment costs this year
£100 will cover costs for toiletries for a year
£150 will pay for student insurance
£475 will cover a month's rent
£896 will buy an annual zone 1-2 travel card
£1035 will purchase meal vouchers for lunch at RADA for the year
Thank you so, so much for your support. I am very grateful to you all and I will continue to keep you updated on my progress and the ways in which your donations and sponsorship have helped me through my first year.
Sabi x
This is an easy and secure way to make a donation through RADA as a registered charity, and the value of the donation is increased to include the Gift Aid element on any donation made by someone who is currently a UK Tax payer. The appeal page can be kept open so that a sponsor, who wants to make regular donations throughout the year, rather than a one off payment, can do so.
