The Syracuse University College of Law 1L Student Bar Association is raising money to benefit Vera House, Inc., and any donation made will help make an impact. 100% of the proceeds we receive from this fundraiser will go be donated to the Vera House, Inc. Someone in America is a victim of sexual violence once every 73 seconds. 1 out of every 6 women and 1 in 33 men have experienced sexual violence in their lifetime. 1 out of every 3 women and 1 out of every 4 men have experienced some form of physical relationship violence in their lifetimes.
As 1L leaders at Syracuse Law we want to raise awareness and provide resources for students and the Syracuse community as a whole. We hope that you can help us achieve this goal.
More information about Vera House, Inc.: Vera House is a 501(C)(3) organization located in Syracuse, New York. Our mission is to prevent, respond, and partner to end domestic violence and sexual assault and other forms of abuse. We offer advocacy, counseling and shelter to men, women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and elder abuse. We offer prevention education programming to the surrounding community. Our SANE(sexual assault nurse examiner) program offers services to victims at all local hospitals.
