Story
I've done some silly things (taking up running in the first place) to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and running the Edinburgh Marathon was supposed to be the pinnacle, the ultimate, the end.
I crossed that finish line in full sun, having run with Hailstones tearing at my back and with 70 mph winds blasting my face during the race and although I enjoyed that first metre after the line, I swore never again...
For some sadistic reason though I was compelled to enter the Virgin London Marathon Ballot... I assumed I wouldn't get in, that my interest in running would fade during the year and therefore I wouldn't spend another 12 months apologising to Sharon for ruining her weekends/gym nights to accomodate my training programme, so sorry Sharon, but I'm in...
Some 500+ training miles later and 3-4 pairs of £100+ trainers I'll be ready to cross the start line. To help me make it all worth it, could you please spare a quid or if you're feeling flush maybe a few and help me raise money for the guys at Macmillan Cancer Support and the people they look after year in year out.
As part of my training programme I will also be running a few races too:
FEBRUARY
Longleat 10k
Wokingham Half Marathon (I got a PB!)
MARCH
Olympic Parks Run
APRIL
Reading Half Marathon
So... I'm not taking it easy while trying to prise some money from your hands for such an amazing charity!
Please dig deep, EVERY penny reallly does count!
Thanks
