Story
After participating in 10 International Charity Cycle rides, it seems we just cannot stop.
Although our bodies are telling us that our cycling days are over, we know that the funds raised will help two wonderful charities and improve the lives of so many vulnerable and deserving people.
So we have decided this year to take on one of the most difficult challenges we have ever tried, by cycling approximately 400 miles in 5 days from the Lebanese/Israeli border in the north, to the most southerly border of Israel and Egypt. Along the way, we stop to view sights important to Christians, Jews and Muslims.
We leave London on Sunday 20 November and start cycling on Monday morning, hoping to arrive in Eilat before it gets dark on Friday afternoon.
Hopefully any ride from north to south means that we are cycling downhill, which probably reflects our cycling ambitions, at our age!
We know that over the years , we have been constantly amazed by the moral and financial support we have received and we hope that, in spite of the current economic climate, you will be able to support one or both of the charities we have decided to support again this year.
If your charity budget has not already been exhausted, it would be greatly appreciated if you could support us.
We will endeavour this year, to provide you with daily updates on our progress via the SRLV website, providing we can get a signal in parts of the southern desert we will be cycling through!
Thanking you once again for any support you can provide to us.
Best wishes
Richard & Laurence
