We provide specialist palliative care to patients in the Worthing area

Story

My lovely mother Rosie Garwood was only 65 when she died very suddenly on January 15th 2020.

She was a wonderfully talented, intelligent and kind woman with a wonderful sense of humour. She was an amazing wife, mother, friend  and Gaga with so much to live for. She was my best friend and I miss her every moment of the day.

Mum started to get pains in her side at the beginning of December, which was put down to IBS. Unfortunately her pain continued to get worse, and on 17th of December she was rushed into hospital with suspected appendicitis. After hours of investigation it was discovered she had a 15cm tumour attached to her outer bowel which had spread to the liver. She was told there was nothing they could do, and it was end of life care.

Mum would have been 66 next week, and I want to do something special for her. I would have done a sponsored walk, or jumped out of a plane, but with lockdown I've had to think outside the box.

I have decided to try and workout for 4 hours live on my Sophie Kate Garwood Facebook 7am-11am and hope people will join in at some point.

I want to support St Barnabas House as they were very kind to my mum and our family in her very short battle with cancer.

Please support me in anyway that you can so we can raise some money together in remembrance of my beautiful, caring and brilliant mother.

Rosie Joy Garwood 15/5/1954-15/1/2020
