Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

NETA is a charity which aims to support people in the North East with aphasia and their families. NETA does this by funding the NETA Aphasia Support Centre, which offers long term support to people with aphasia, offering opportunities to take part in a variety of groups.

What is Aphasia? 

Aphasia is when an individual has problems with communication (speaking, understanding, reading, writing). Such difficulties often arise after stroke or other brain trauma.

NETA provides support for people with aphasia. They hold a support centre, but due to current events, people can no longer attend the Centre. NETA is still providing support to these individuals remotely. Help us to help them provide amazing and much needed support to people with Aphasia!

The person with aphasia can have problems speaking, understanding, reading and writing. This can have major effects for both the person and their family in terms of social life, work and relationships.
