Thank you for visiting our donation page! We are a group of students striving to help our local community. On this occasion, we are raising money for a local charity - Signposts.

Signposts aim to provide emergency, temporary accommodation
and support for the homeless. The rate of households who are homeless under statue and in temporary accommodation in Luton equate to 12.6 per 1,000 households, this is significantly higher than the average in England (2.59).

Furthermore, since the beginning of the pandemic, many people in Luton - particularly those who already faced monetary difficulties and job insecurity - have found themselves requiring more financial support, at a time when charitable donations have fallen. Now more than ever we need to help raise funds for charitable causes that may have lost income so that they can help those of us who are vulnerable and in vital need of support.

Our fundraising target will be based on the number of goals we score in our local 5 a-side league. We'll aim to raise £3 for Signposts for every goal we score! As the league is only just starting, we'll set ourselves a forecasted target of £200 for now and hope to increase this as we improve and our average goals scored per game increases.

This opportunity to raise money for an important, meaningful and local cause would not be possible without the great work done by the staff at PlayfootballLuton to organise and host our weekly football games. So we'd like to say a special thank you to Simon and his team for making this all possible!
