As part of a team, I am walking the 500 miles/1,000 miles challenge in aid of the Global White Lion Protection Trust in South Africa. This will take place over a year. As well as walks in the park, across Hampstead Heath and country walks, it will include just everyday walking (to the shops and the station instead of travelling there by  bus). So far I have clocked up 117.13 miles in 10 weeks.

The White Lion Trust has reintroduced captive-bred White Lions back into their natural habitat in the Timbavati region in South Africa. There are hundreds in captivity in zoos or bred for the purpose of canned trophy hunting. I will be raising vital funds for the Trust so that the White Lions (and all Lions) can be where they should be – in their natural habitat and protected.
