Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Yesterday was fantastic and as a bonus, I had the company of a fellow Clitheroe Bike Club member (http://clitheroebikeclub.co.uk/), Bill Honeywell! Such great company and he was an inspiration for me - kept my morale high and encouraged me - in fact, I wonder whether I would have done it without him!
We left Clitheroe at 8am and reached York at around 1pm. We had lovely tea and scones with Bill's son & daughter in law, Mark and Sandra - a very welcome re-fuelling.
Now, I'm a great one for not re-inventing the wheel and Bill has done such a great report of the details of our day on his blog that I'm going to refer you to him if you'd like an excellent and entertaining account of our odyssey. You can find it at http://www.billhoneywell.blogspot.com.
I undertook to do 100 miles for Everyman Male Cancer and by the time we got to Skipton Station at 7.15pm, we had done 111 miles! Since, my front light had given up the ghost we decided it was safer to stop the ride there and Bill's wife kindly picked us up and ran us to Clitheroe.
This morning I feel remarkably unscathed but My mum says it will be tomorrow when I really feel the damage!
Thank you once again to everyone who has supported me, or rather for supporting Everyman through me! xxx
