Thank you for visiting this just giving page in memory of my sister Ruth.

Ruthie passed away on Thursday 8th December 2022 aged 59.  Ruthie was born with congenital rubella syndrome caused by German measles.  She was blind and deaf with profound learning disability. Recently she had suffered 2 strokes which left her immobile and with swallowing difficulties. Ruthie required 24 hour care.  Her care needs were complex and for many years Ruthie was cared for entirely by the charity Sense.

Sense provided highly trained carers who were able to manage Ruth’s complex care needs and who showed incredible love, patience  and compassion to Ruthie, enabling her to live as full a life as possible.

Ruthie’s family would be so grateful if you could spare some change for this wonderful charity to allow them to continue their fantastic work with other people with profound sensory deficits and care needs like Ruthie.
