Everyone seems to be running marathons and/or climbing Everest on their stairs.  I thought it would be fun to raise money by doing something musical – and different!

I've set myself the challenge of getting to Grade 1 on the jazz trumpet in 3 months.  As soon as bookings open again, I'll be registering to take the exam in June.

The Marmalade Trust do a wonderful job of tackling loneliness, by providing people with social contacts and by raising awareness of loneliness at a national level. Their services have become even more important over the last year, and I'm hoping that by blowing my own trumpet I can make a contribution to the work they do.
