Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I am going to be cycling across Great Britain 150 miles from Coast to Coast over three days. Me and a small group of friends will set off from Workington on Friday 10th September and aim to arrive at Newcastle on Sunday 12th September. My aim is to raise awareness and money for 'Turn on the Tap', a great project set up by Samaritans Purse.
last year I visited Uganda and met a lady called Robinah who lived in the slums of Kampala. She has 8 children. The water they had to drink was dirty and her children would often get sick and she did not have enough money for medicines. She then receieved a Bio sand filter. This totally changed her life. The water was clean and it was safe to drink. Her children stopped getting ill and is able to save more with the little money she earns. She is now able to share the filter too with her friends.
If I can raise £150.00 it could buy 3 water filters which would mean clean water for 3 families in Africa that otherwise would have to drink from unclean and potentially dangerous water. Please donate £1 for every 15 miles I plan to cycle. If 15 people agree to donate I will hit my target...Please be one of them!
