Story

* NEW FUNDRAISING GOAL - £10,000*

TEAM HARPER IS GROWING....

We have a band of MAMILs who are going to cycle 33km a day for the 33 sessions ....  Delighted to announce (and this list may grow) Keith White, John Torode and Iain Pearce will be cycling... and Jonathan Rickard is joining the runners.  OG TEAM - Jess Thomas, Naomi, Millie and Isabella Rickard , Jonah and Loulou Torode, Eliza and Scarlett Devine, Julia and Lottie White, Ann Louise and Ayumi Pearce and Marisa Schlichting continue to notch up the KMs.....

We are going to smash this for our gorgeous team leader, Harper.

The StoryOn Monday 8th June my youngest goddaughter, Harper, is beginning  33 sessions of proton therapy beam treatment following the discovery and removal of a malignant tumour in her mouth earlier this year.

I have decided I can’t sit around for 6 weeks and worry so I’m going to have my own daily running sessions to try and raise as much money as I can for Cancer ResearchUK for Children and Young People.

Most of you know me well enough to know that I am not a runner by any stretch, but I will commit to running a minimum of 5k every weekday, for the duration of Harper’s treatments.  I would really appreciate any support you can offer, and if anyone else who knows Harper and wants to join my daily challenge then please do so.

About the charity

Cancer in children & young people (aged 0–24) is different to cancer in adults – from the types of cancer, to the impact of treatment & the long-term side effects survivors often experience. Through research we’re determined to overcome some of the different challenges these cancers present.
