As part of our ongoing support of the Ukrainian people, we are raising money for Hopes and Homes for Children. There are 100,000 children left behind in Ukraine's orphanages, many of them disabled. More children are being lost, either to the border patrol misplacing them or human trafficking opportunists taking them for their own gain. The children of Ukraine are being torn from their lives, their parents and their homes.
Hope and Homes for Children is on the ground in Ukraine right now fighting to get orphanages out of the firing line and recognised as humanitarian safe spaces, supporting the coordinated evacuation of orphanages, keeping siblings together and accounting for every child.
On the Romanian and Moldovan borders, we’re providing aid, psychological support and preventing unaccompanied Ukrainian children from being locked up in orphanages and refugee camps, instead prioritising emergency foster care and family reunification.
