Story
I can’t put into words the rollercoaster we’ve been through since our twin boys arrived 3 months early. But the one constant was the caring and skilled team in the NICU ward at the King’s Mill Hospital.
They’re incredible at what they do and I honestly feel the care and love our boys have had whilst in their care could not be topped.
They were also considerate of mine and my wife’s needs too and lots of little touches like foot stamp art work of the boys feet or personalised posters with their names to make the Ward feel more homely. Everything they do there is done with kindness and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank them enough.
The parent flats they have on site are so useful too, knowing we could stay close to the boys was vital for us but having spoken with some of the senior staff they expressed they’d love to refurbish the flats as they’re very clinical at the moment and in need of a little love, but just don’t have the budget to update them.
So I thought this was a great thing for me to get involved in!
The Emily Harris foundation is a charity dedicated to supporting this NICU ward and the parents on this ward and they’ve been wonderful throughout. It makes sense for the money to go directly to them as they have these strong connections but the money is ear marked for the parent flats.
I’m happy to discuss even more about our experience but if you can donate and share this would be hugely appreciated!!
