We have chosen to Support the Hearing Voices Network as an alternative to the traditional gift registry. This charity is important to us both but especially me (Rosina) as I have benefitted immensely  from their work over the years. 

I am a voice hearer and have found a place of safety, solidarity and understanding without fearing stigma within the hearing voices groups run  by HVN. Voice hearers still face a lot of stigma and it can be hard and also terrifying to reveal this information to people, in fact many of you may not know this about me. It has taken me a long time to get to a point where I am comfortable with people knowing my truth but it is a part of who I am and I am not ashamed of it. However, I do know that I am only one of many people who struggle with hearing voices and having unusual experiences and the work HVN does is so important in training people to run groups like those I have attended, educate people on what it means to be a voice hearer in order to break down stigma and making safe supportive places for those that need it. 

I am eternally grateful to the team (past and present) over at HVN and we would be so thankful if you could spare any money and donate to them.
