Story
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (18th-24th May) so I am running a half marathon around my local area to raise awareness and funds for Mind in Mid Herts.
Mind in Mid Herts delivers vital services to people across Hertfordshire struggling with their mental health. https://www.mindinmidherts.org.uk/
During this crisis, it is many of the most vulnerable in our communities that are most impacted by the virus and lockdown measures. This includes those suffering from mental illness.
Mind in Mid Herts. like many local charities, provides essential services to support those most at risk and the wider social care system. I am lucky to be a trustee of this charity and have seen the incredible and tireless work of the team to continue delivering this vital support during the pandemic.
But funding is under threat. It is estimated charities will miss out on over £4bn during lockdown as fundraising events (fetes, marathons, dinners, bake sales) are cancelled. They need our support more than ever.
Any donation would make a huge difference and ensure Mind in Mid Herts can keep doing its amazing work.
Thank you!
(Full disclosure - I have not trained, there may be some walking)
