Story
In memory of RONNIE MARTIN GWILLIAMS, our beautiful baby boy 💙
Whilst Ronnie couldn't stay with us, he will forever be in our hearts. Even the smallest of feet have the power to leave everlasting footprints upon this world.
The loss of a child is every parent's worst nightmare. Whilst in the depths of grief, how can you contemplate planning your baby's funeral? The charity, Baby Bereavement, with their midwives and Chaplin have been a huge support, I'm not sure how we would get through the dark days without them. This includes not only organising Ronnie's funeral but providing specially trained midwives and a specialist bereavement delivery suite away from the main delivery suites, where you can spend time with your baby and adjust to your loss. They also provide keepsakes to build some precious memories.
As a family we would like to support the Baby Bereavement Charity to help other families on their journey through baby loss by raising money for a second delivery suite and to ensure they can continue to provide the emotional support they have given to us both as well as the funeral assistance.
A second delivery suite would ensure that if two families were going through the same nightmare a special room would be available for both couples. Without an additional delivery suite, this means that if two couples face this situation one may have to deliver their angel baby in a normal delivery suite. As a mother that has lost, I am unable to imagine the additional trauma that this would cause. The thought of hearing babies cry or being around joyful mothers would be extremely unbearable. The privacy of the room allowed myself and Ronnie's Daddy time together with our boy creating memories we will treasure forever.
Our aim is to support this wonderful charity and also raise enough funds to enable a second bereavement suite to be built at Russells Hall Hospital. We would love to be able to build a room in Ronnie's memory and for it to be called 'Ronnie's Room'.
Thank you for taking your time to read Ronnie's story and we will forever be grateful for any contributions, however small or large.
IN MEMORY OF RONNIE AND HIS FRIENDS 💙
