Story

Tuberous Sclerosis (TS) caused my epilepsy. TS is a genetic condition that leads to the growth of tumours in many organs throughout the body.

From an infant, I suffered from seizures. Friends and classmates were fantastic. They always took care of me (thanks guys!), but the humiliation as a 13 year old boy, being embarrassed and centre of attention was truly terrifying. Brain surgery to remove a problematic tumour was my way out. It changed my life!

Since the surgery, I have not suffered from any seizures. while I am still diagnosed as epileptic, with other underlying concerns that come with carrying my mutated gene, I am truly fortunate. I am loving my life!

Not all TS carriers are as fortunate as I am.The symptoms caused by this condition range from the minimal (did you know my mum carries this gene?), to significant-  like, literally life ending! It is estimated to affect 7 people in every 50000.

To celebrate my good fortune, I want to help. I plan on getting every hair on my head removed to raise awareness, and more importantly, desperately needed funds for the Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) - a charity dedicated to supporting and helping sufferers.

Please help! Donate generously.
