Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are currently spending three months in Africa volunteering for a school named Roko 20. The school relys solely on charitable donations in order to provide education for disadvantaged & orphaned children aged 3-17 in Murang’a Town, Kenya.
Many of the children come from extreme poverty including those who were living on the street prior to their engagement with the school. Roko 20 currently do a fantastic job of educating the children though resources, time, and funding mean that certain areas become difficult. One of these areas is the provision for sport in the school. Like all children the students at Roko adore playing sport and deserve to have the opportunity to play. We would love to be able to give them an area to make this possible moving forwards.
In order to make this a reality we hope to raise £500. Your money will help:
- Provide a suitable playing field
- First aid train a teacher so the children can attend local sports events safely
- Provide materials so Bex, the teachers and myself can build a small play park for the young children in the holiday period (god help them if I am building it)
