I’m joining the ‘Hardest Adventures’ team 29th July-1st August to do the 3 Peaks in 3 days challenge for The Running Charity! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now but always been too scared! I know it’ll be a challenge but I’m ready to get myself in gear and I’m so excited for the adventure!
The 3 peaks is a challenge involving climbing all 3 of the highest mountains in England (Scaffel Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales (Snowdon). Our trip starts with a drive in the hardest bus up to Fort William in Scotland where we will set up camp overlooking Loch Eil. In the morning we will rise early to climb Ben Nevis (approx 6-7 hours) before driving down to the Peak District for another lakeside camping spot. Same again the next morning except a new mountain to climb, Scafell Pike (approx 5-6 hours). We then journey on to Snowdonia for our final nights rest before completing the trilogy with a morning climb on Snowdon (approx 5-6 hours).

The Running Charity believes that running is as good for your mind as it is for your body. Running builds resilience and self-esteem, and we use this to improve the lives of 16-25 year-olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Homelessness can happen at any time and to anyone. And when it happens to a young person it can affect them for the rest of their life. We use running to improve fitness and instil a goal-setting mentality that are key tools in helping these vulnerable young people to build healthy, sustainable futures.
