Story
In Memory of our dear friend Roger Eccleston
On 18th April 2015, the Yamaha Diversion Club lost one of it's most popular and active members in a tragic motorcycle accident. Roger is pictured above with his daughter Naomi and his beloved Fazer motorcycle.
Roger (known as Billywhizz to his friends) was a keen supporter of charity, and particularly the local Air Ambulance. This was nominated by his family as a chosen charity for donations in lieu of flowers at his funeral.
Some of Roger's friends got together and decided that it would be good to have an avenue for ongoing donations once the funeral was over. In the past, as a club, we have raised funds for a number of charities by collecting at our club meet ups, doing favours or selling stuff to mates, breaking bikes for parts, and coming up with other original ideas.
Hopefully the club members and their friends and families will find ways to raise funds for this great cause.
