Kirstie & Darren's Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Yorkshire Three Peaks 2020 · 5 September 2020 ·
As some of you may know, my Dad sadly lost his very short and unexpected battle with cancer in January. He spent his final days in the care of the amazing team at Lindsey Lodge hospice. Dignity, attentiveness, humulity are just some of the words I could use to describe the care they provided to both us and him. It is hard to describe how they made such a difficult time a little easier.
Taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks is absolutely a challenge for us, we will be walking in the Yorkshire Dales taking on the peaks Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The event is 26 miles long and the average completion time is 12hours.
We are training as much as we can in lockdown and with two young children. You can follow our journey on instagram @robinsons3peaks
Lindsey Lodge is a charity and without the fundraising each year my Dad may not have had such a peaceful and caring setting. It takes £3.3million a year to run Lindsey Lodge, the majority of which is surprisingly raised from fundraising. The Covid-19 has severly hindere the fundraising activities planned for 2020 so they need our support more than ever to continue providing their crucial services when people need them the most.
In my Dad's memory we would like to raise at least £500, I will never be able to thank Lindsey Lodge enough but this would be a great start.
We miss him every day and from our hearts thank you for anything that you can give, no matter how little.
