Centenary Cuppa
On 3rd July 2021 our mum, Emily Clarke, turns 100. To celebrate this great achievement we would like to raise some much needed funds for a charity close to her heart: ‘Tiny Life'.
To celebrate mum's life, and in memory of her first baby girl who was sadly born sleeping, we hope to raise enough money to buy a breast pump to donate to 'Tiny Life'. This equipment is essential for mothers of premature babies, and will help at least eight mothers a year care for their babies. Each pump has a ten year lifespan, and costs £1300.
Mum's greatest love is children, and she donated breast milk for premature babies after she had her own. To us, this makes tiny life the ideal charity. her other love is baking, so our plan is to celbrate her centenary birthday by baking for friends and colleagues in return for donations, in the hope they will do the same, and so raise as much money as possible.
Unfortunately mum is very frail and will not be able to follow in Captain Tom’s footsteps literally. But that doesn't mean she can't leave her mark figuratively! Rather than gifts, she has asked us instead to raise as much as possible for thisworthy cause. So please, spread the word, share a coffee, donate your change, and help us celebrate the life of a very special lady by leaving a legacy that does her proud.
Thank you, Roberta Patterson and Samuel Clarke
