Having avoided taking part in sport for most of my adult life, in the last year I have become one of those annoyingly smug born-again runners.  And now I am going to put this smugness to good use by raising money for St John Ambulance.

I've been a member of St John Ambulance for many years.  It's given me some great skills, great opportunities and great enjoyment.  Way back when, my first event cover was for the Eastleigh 10km and I helped cover it for several years after.  We would always say how we should get someone to run it to raise money and, at last, we have - Me!
