My name is Robert Taylor and I live with inherited sight loss. I thank the Dabbling Duck for adopting Retina UK as their partner charity for 2021/22. We plan to raise as much money as possible through sales of some foods and drinks as well as arranging events to assist further. Because my condition is X-linked it means that females in my line can pass the faulty gene onto their children; it was the confirmation that my grandson has inherited the faulty gene that spurred me into thinking I can do more. This campaign is to, hopefully, stop youngsters like my grandson developing the full-blown condition. I am happy to speak with anyone about my condition so please do not hesitate to come over if you see me in the pub or around the village; I am pretty easy to spot as I am the one with the white symbol cane usually looking pretty vacant.
