Story
TONIGHT! I've decided to run a half marathon and here's why:
Due to the current lockdown situation, the NHS Hospital Site - Devonshire Centre for Neuro Rehabilitation on Cherry Tree Lane in Stockport is quickly running out of supplies for patients.
A lot of the staff are buying things out of their own money which isn’t sustainable and certainly not fair.
This is where my brother, Sam, was cared for so compassionately for 22 months for his rehab after spending 9 months in Salford Royal after sustaining a traumatic brain injury in a road accident in 2017. If this had happened while he was in there, whilst we know the staff would have been fantastic, we would have despaired.
My aim is to raise £10 for every 1km that I run tonight. That's 21.0975km which means in total I would have raised £210.98 (to be precise!!) if I reach my target.
Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way during these challenging times!!
