Story
This year as AGS Captain i have selected OLLIE as my chosen charity, details of OLLIE can be found below.
My wife has very bravely supported me already this year by jumping out of a plane from 16,000ft , so i had to try and find something that was just as challenging. Dave Ford a long standing member and supporter of the AGS kindly suggested that if i was to do the three peaks challenge he would join me for moral support 😱 After a lot of thought and sleepless nights mulling over whether i was capable of rising to this challenge ( those of you that know me and have met me will know i do not have the best body shape for such a challenge 😁 tipping the scales at somewhere around 112Kg ) but due to the amount of hiking i do locally and the training i am now putting in i am sure i can achieve this with the support of Dave pushing me up the mountains 😍
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours.
- Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
- Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
- Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m)
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles
Please support Dave and i in this challenge for a very worthwhile charity !!
