Larry Chatterley is biking from Canada to Mexico to raise money for clean water in South Sudan, Africa. Each well that this charity ride funds will provide clean water for 500 individuals and keep children safe from the dangers of the Pongo river.

Story

Join Larry Chatterley in raising funds for clean water in the remote village of Majok Goi in South Sudan, the newest country in the world. Larry will be biking the 3,000 mile Great Divide Mountain Bike Route (GDMBR) from Canada to Mexico in an effort to raise enough money for 13 wells providing clean water to 6,500 people! Each well costs $7,500 to build and provides lifesaving clean water to 500 individuals in a 30 minute radius. Consider donating $0.01 per mile = $30 $0.10 per mile = $300 $1.00 per mile = $3,000 Why Water? Without quick access to clean water, families send their children on the dangerous 3 hour trek to the pongo river while they tend the crops. Not only must they be wary of hippos and alligators, this water is often contaminated, leading to giardia, amoebas, and parasites. The most devastating impact however is the fact that these children will never go to school. Together we can empower the children in Majok Goi to rebuild their young nation.
